New Camera Photos from the PT Brewery

In celebration of my new blog, I treated myself to a new camera. I chose the Canon PowerShot SX20 IS for several reasons:
- I know three people who have various models of the PowerShot and all of them like it.
- The camera has dozens of pre-programmed settings based on your lighting and subject. As you can probably tell from the photos on this web site, I'm definitely no photographer! I don't know aperture from focal length. Luckily, with this camera, that knowledge isn't required.
- I've used the PowerShot before and the basic functions are fairly intuitive. I knew I wouldn't have to spend hours perusing the manual prior to taking the first picture.
So far, so good. I love it! It has a 20X optical zoom (my previous camera, a gift in 2003, boasted 6X optical zoom). The PowerShot features 12.1 megapixels (old camera = 2.1). It also shoots HD video (43 minutes worth on an 8GB card). Sweet!
Here are some pictures I took at the Port Townsend Brewery, just fooling around with the different settings.
Port Townsend Sky
Port Townsend Beer
Jim
Port Townsend Silly
Julianne
Mike and Julianne (who is serious about erasing that crossword answer)
Josh

Michele
David
Port Townsend Flower
That's all for now!
